Mixed by DJ Deadly

Our fun and funky wines in the Mixed by DJ Deadly range include the new 2018 Keyboard Rose, the 2017 Boombox Shiraz and 2017 Turntable GSM.

Derek has the middle initial "J" and after getting a nickname of Deadly Derek at school he embellished it to DJ Deadly when he found a love for 90's dance music. He used to make mixed CD's for friends back in the day and he signed them "Mixed by DJ Deadly".

With the obvious music links we love our Boombox Shiraz (because we are kids of the 80's), the Turntable GSM (the records are overtaking the living room) and our new Keyboard Rose - after all who doesn't love a bit of synth with their music!

We hope you have as much fun tasting our Mixed by DJ Deadly range as we had making them!

2018 Mixed by DJ Deadly Turntable GSM

This is our 2nd release of the "Turntable" GSM and this blend is 55% Grenache, 23% Shiraz and 22% Mataro. The colour is mid red, with lifted bright fruits of raspberry and plenty of floral notes including lavender and rose petal.

The medium bodied palate has a voluptuous palate with up front flavours of raspberry and wild strawberries. These are further accented with hints of toasty oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, and hazelnut with flinty matchstick notes.

The mid palate is rich and full, with lovely richness and soft velvety tannins. The wine finishes fine and long with berry fruit and savoury notes. Drink now or over the next five years.

2018 Mixed by DJ Deadly Boombox Shiraz

The Shiraz was picked from a single vineyard site in the sub region of Moppa. The colour is a lovelymedium to deep red. There is lifted sweet berry fruit on the nose with a lick of chocolate and lovely sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The approachable palate has ripe summer berries with hints of musk and liquorice. The creamy oak adds to the mouthfeel and richness of the wine. The wine finishes with silky soft tannins and good length of berry fruit. Drink young while it is vibrant and fresh and it could even be chilled for Summer drinking.

Mixed by DJ Deadly Keyboard Rose 2018

Introducing the 2018 Keyboard Rose.

This wine has 100% Grenache fruit from 70 year old vines in the Barossa Valley.

It's pale pink/salmon in hue with light and bright strawberry flavours accompanied by sage and fennel notes. The palate is nicely textured, the finish dry, clean and with great length. It is eminently drinkable and would go down a treat at anytime.
